My painting technique can be compared to the looking for images in the clouds. I begin with a blank canvas and as I layer on the initial coat of paint to create textures and colours, I start to see shapes and figures emerge from the paint. This is the foundation from which my paintings develop. With the freedom open-minded approach brings, my painting takes on a life of its own. From the images I initially see, my paintings take on stories, issues, and experiences to which others can relate.
I am currently working on “Common Man” series. The main subject in each piece ,“Our Hero”, depicts the daily life of a person in different scenarios. Some of the paintings represent everyday tasks like running or dog walking. Others show the more adventurous side such as his “Cliffhanger” or “Ropewalker” pieces, while others show the challenges and pressures in as seen in his “Rising Corporate Ladder” painting.

“Precision has always been a fascination. My works are created entirely from memory, which is unfortunate, because my memory of what a human body looks like is apparently a circle on top with five lines coming out of it.
Through my process I develop original interpretations of the world around me. By simplifying and reducing, I can showcase the essential truth of any subject — that at its core, everything can be expressed in five lines or fewer. My loop-da-loops demonstrate a mastery of the continuous curve. My snowflakes contain multitudes.
So, as you can no doubt tell, I am an artist. Maybe? Probably... Yes, probably.”
