Pamela Morris is best known for her work in acrylics featuring local landscapes and dog parks. She started as a self-taught painter at a young age but pursued a career in administration and technical writing. In 2022, she decided it was time to start learning the business of art and completed visual design, digital marketing, and graphic design courses at University of Calgary. Pamela appreciates being a part of the local art community, helping support other growing artists, and has been a member with the Calgary Sketch & Painting Club since 2023.

“Memory has always been a fascination. My works are always created half-from-memory and half-from-image or real life. Through my process, I develop original abstract adaptations of realist images. By fragmenting and dividing, I can showcase time, light, values, and shapes in relation to how I remember an area. Often, my images contain aspects of surrealism, where hills, leaves, and grass become exaggerated. My work is often detailed, creating a study in how much I can remember.”
