I chose to pursue my passion for art after raising 4 brilliant and wonderful children (yup that’s the mom side). I found with time on my hands I liked to spend it painting and so I joined a few groups to give myself some goals and direction. I jumped right in to help community and organizations. I was a volunteer for many affiliations; from president, vicepresident, programmer, workshop & program co-coordinator, communications affiliate, website liaison, casino chair, art display co-coordinator, show/exhibition head, leading programs, projects, incentives, and art initiatives. Developed, coordinated, and facilitated the Junior Artist Program in The Airdrie Public Library in 2009 and the Seniors Art Enrichment Project AAG. I have had memberships with Calgary & Vancouver Federation of Canadian Artists, Calgary Sketch Club, AAG, ACUA, ARTS and more. But where’s the time? ...to paint... so I am taking a break to just paint and fulfill the artistic desire within me. Being artistic is a gift. It is as natural to me as writing, but I believe anyone can be taught to become an artist.

Workshop Coordinator for the CSC & for 7 yrs. for the Calgary FCA I have facilitated &/or attended over 50 artists workshops & classes, my favourite Notable artist was Zhaoming Wu.

Accreditation: I was the court Scene Reporter drawing the defendant for the Movie; The Sheldon Kennedy Story. Irricana; Mural 21 - The Fire station. 2005 Design Airdrie Ringette jersey & Airdrie main street Mural Project, Calgary Transportation power boxes, Art in Transit 4 bus shelters, Art in Motion numerous bus passes, and the streetlight banner project.

Awards: The first ever art award I received was in grade one in Saskatoon for a citywide art contest. I graduated high school with the grade 12 Art Achievement Award & have received many awards for my artwork for which I am grateful, 1st place FCA 30th Anniversary Show & SFCA Choice Award. FCA 1st Place, Mad About Art 2007 & award ribbons 2011, 2012, 2013. Including CSC Bert Earle Award in 2015.
