Jane was born, raised in Edmonton, Alberta and now resides in Calgary, AB. Her journey as an artist began in 2016 after being nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, North Carolina. It was here in the peace and silence of the Blue Ridge Mountains; she was able to breathe in and embrace the incredible beauty of Nature. So, she went to the Dollar store, picked up a paint brush and the passion to paint was birthed. Creating art for Jane is an expression of mood, emotion and Beauty, which she releases through her love of colour, texture, and movements of brush markings. Reflecting life moments, memories, that speak to the inner soul. From Realism, Expressionistic Landscaping paintings, Jane also loves painting animals. Seeing their character come to life, brings great joy and fun to the painting.
Jane continues to pursue her passion through classes and workshops, as she loves embracing new skill sets that help bring her expression of art in new ways, to the canvas. Jane is also a member of the Calgary Sketch Club and has participated in various outdoor shows. Her art is also featured in “Times and Seasons Cafe’/Bookstore/Gallery, and the Okotoks Art Gallery.
